Dennis Kung is a distinguished expert in cybersecurity and mobile communications. He graduated from National Taiwan University with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Computer Science.
His career includes a notable tenure at Trend Micro as the R&D Head for Taiwan, where he led the development of antivirus and internet security products. Transitioning to the field of mobile communications, he designed and developed multiple phones and communication devices at Compal Electronics and Wistron NeWeb Corporation, successfully selling these products to international giants like Nokia and telecommunications companies such as AT&T.
Prior to joining the National Institute of Cyber Security, Mr. Kung served as the CTO and CISO at QNAP Systems, Inc., a leader in network storage solutions, where he focused on enhancing the cybersecurity design of networking and IoT devices
